16-Core Processors
Desktop Gaming Processors & CPUs
Choosing the right processor is an important part of building or upgrading a gaming PC. The CPU works alongside your graphics card, memory and other components to determine how your system performs across games, applications and everyday tasks.
At OnlyGaming, our desktop CPU range includes processors from AMD Ryzen and Intel Core, covering different performance levels and budgets. Whether you’re building an affordable gaming PC, upgrading an existing system or putting together a high-performance machine, the right processor depends on more than clock speed alone.
When comparing CPUs, consider factors such as core and thread count, architecture, clock speeds, cache, socket compatibility and cooling requirements. Your CPU choice also determines which motherboard platform and memory technology you can use, so it’s important to consider the rest of your build before making a decision.
Choosing the Right Gaming CPU
The right CPU depends on how you plan to use your PC. For gaming, look for a processor that provides the performance you need without taking budget away from other important components, particularly your graphics card.
AMD Ryzen and Intel Core both offer processors across different performance levels, including gaming-focused models and higher-end CPUs suited to demanding workloads. Before purchasing, check the CPU socket, motherboard compatibility and cooling requirements for your chosen processor.
